Our first event this month is on Tuesday 5th May with a trip to the Green Dragon pub (7pm, free). This regular event is a great opportunity to meet the group in cosy surroundings with tasty pub grub and an excellent drink selection.

Following that on Saturday 9th May is brunch club at DD's Café (11am, £2). This is an lovely family-run café in a converted house in Coulsdon that serves top-notch breakfasts and other traditional café fare. It's a little further out than our usual brunch destinations as we're planning on following it with a walk in the nearby Banstead Woods - fingers crossed some bluebells will still be out for us.

On the afternoon of Saturday 9th May we'll be heading to the Woodman near Banstead for Saturday drinks (4pm, free). We'll be heading there after our walk in the woods and this classic country pub will be a fine place to relax in good company with a well-earned drink.

We'll next be visiting Tokia Square on Wednesday 13th May (7pm, free). This food hall on the first floor of the Grants entertainment complex serves food from all across Asia so there should be something for everyone here with its enormous selection.

On Thursday 21st May we'll be dropping into the Crown & Sceptre (7pm, free). This traditional pub in a residential area just off the Brighton Road always offers a friendly welcome and so is a great place to meet for drinks, nibbles and a chat.

Finally, on Monday 25th May we'll be taking the Croydon Dinner Club to Saigon Bleu 西貢 (7pm, free). This Vietnamese restaurant has been open for a while now in Croydon and has attracted excellent reviews. As there is a bank holiday at the end of the month we've moved dinner club to that Monday.
